The Porsche Club New Zealand has invited everyone to join them for Porsche Parade 2012 in the Taupo district, on the shores of the largest fresh water lake in New Zealand.
The Parade begins with a Cultural Welcome on the 8th February 2012 and the event runs to the 12th February 2012.
You will be based at the five star Hilton Lake Taupo.
Over 90 cars have been entered so far, and the organisers expect this to grow to over 120 cars.
The new 911 will appear in New Zealand for the first time along with two rare 356 Carreras and two local GT3 RS 4.0's. Every different Porsche type will be attending.
Events on offer include -:
- a track day on the International A1GP track at Taupo Motorsport Park
- runs to vineyards in Napier
- a mystery photo run
- a photo rallye
- fun gymkhana
- trout fishing and claybird shooting on Lake Taupo
- a round of golf on a world top 100 international course
- prestigious Gala Dinner on Saturday night
- Parde procession around the locality
Porsche Club New Zealand has negotiated competitive freight costs and arranged secure storage once your car arrives in New Zealand.
Registration is now open and costs NZ$2,600 for a couple and their car. This fee includes all the runs, tours, gymkhana, lunches, four nights in a guest room at Hilton Lake Taupo, supervised secure parking, a "Champers" lunch on Saturday, Sundays farewell brunch, registration information with car rally plate, souvenir booklet and an exciting and substantial goodie bag. This goodie bag will be added to over the duration of the Parade.
